Curry Club recipe for Chester’s regeneration plan

Cliff Mallows, of Cheshire West and Chester Council presented an update on the authority’s One City Plan and provided an overview of some of the key development projects since its launch last year. Protecting your vacant assets
Guidance on how property owners can protect their assets when they are vacant was given to business networkers at the recent Liverpool Curry Club.
Construction, finance and property professionals were advised by Oliver Riley of vacant property specialists VPS at the club’s new venue, The Sultan’s Palace on Victoria Street.
Oliver introduced the company’s latest product, the SmartAlarm Gold, which incorporates advanced sensors to offer exceptionally clear video verification of all alarm activations, eliminating false call outs.
Such measures can prove invaluable to a wide range of property owners and interested parties, from local councils to insurance companies such as Axa, in their battle to keep vacant properties free from unauthorised access and a variety of hazards such as arson and squatting, helping to retain their value and meeting insurance requirements.
Oliver particularly warned the Networking in the City delegates against the growing trend of metal theft which is costing businesses up to £700million per year.
VPS cover the complete vacant property life cycle from an initial risk assessment to security, through monitoring, clearing, cleaning, maintenance and preparation.

Membership costs
As of 1st February 2013 our membership packages will be increasing to £75 for single membership and £250 for corporate membership. This increase is in reflection of the growth of NITC so we can continue to bring professional business events to all the major cities in the UK.
Event Attendance
2012 has been a very successful year for NITC but one of the biggest issues we have had to face is the increase of ‘No Shows‘ from non-prepaid attendees. This makes it very difficult to give our restaurants the correct number of attendees for them to prepare the meals which in some circumstances has resulted in penalties.
As of 1st February 2013, we will be introducing a £5 surcharge for payment on the door of non-members. Members will still have the luxury of turning up on the day or booking without advance payment or surcharges.
We will be accepting the follow forms of payment through the website:
PayPal, Debit / Credit Card, Bank Transfer, Cheque.
Event Price Increase
London, Smithfield – This attendance of this event will be increased by £5 as of February 2013, members will still receive a 20% discount on bookings.
